Admission by audition only. Open to tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students who have had at least four years experience on their instruments. The Jazz Band will study basic techniques of jazz improvisation in a variety of jazz styles. Music history, music theory, and a wide range of musical styles will be explored and performed throughout the year. The Jazz Band performs frequently at both school and community functions. After school and/or evening rehearsals and concerts are required.
